I'm Bob Peterson, a passionate photographer who has embraced the art of visual storytelling. Born and raised in Michigan, I ventured into the world of medicine and dedicated over three decades to practicing OB-GYN in Hickory, North Carolina. Since retiring in 2010, I've redirected my focus towards my true calling: photography.

My wife, Kandi, and I have fallen in love with the stunning landscapes of western North Carolina. From majestic mountains to serene lakes, vibrant rivers to breathtaking waterfalls, this region offers an endless tapestry of beauty that continually inspires my work. Each composition I capture reflects not only the natural wonders around us but also the warmth and spirit of the wonderful people who inhabit this diverse landscape.

As a photographer, I thrive on discovering compositions that might go unnoticed by others. It’s in the details and the fleeting moments that I find my purpose. Throughout my journey, I've captured imagery that has earned recognition through numerous awards and features in magazines, calendars, and advertising campaigns. My work has found a home in offices, hospitals, and private residences across North Carolina and beyond.

I have embraced both film and digital techniques over the years, and since 2005, I have fully dedicated my craft to digital photography. This evolution allows me to express my creative vision more dynamically, capturing images that resonate and inspire.
